Lynne and I had a tough two days (absolutely kidding)!
July 3rd, after waking up about 8 a.m., I went for a jog on the beach...came back and got Lynne, and we went for about a 3 mile walk along the beach...stopping every so often to check out the restaurants and see what we might want for lunch.
On our walk, we went to the boatyard and saw where they make yachts...interesting! The umbrellas..the many brightly colored umbrellas along the beach were absolutely beautiful...those against the vivid aqua colored water of the Mediterranean... Wow!
Back at the hotel, we went for a swim in the pool...
Back to the beach for lunch...
Back to the hotel to change into our suits...
Back to the beach to swim and rest (we were so tired...again, absolutely kidding)...
Back to the hotel to shower...
Left at 9:30 p.m. to look for a place for dinner in town...
Found a sweet little restaurant...leisurely sat and ate dinner...returning to the hotel after midnight!
July 4th...
a repeat of the morning...jog/walk...
Jodi came and met us...we walked into town...had lunch...looked for a postal box...
Back to the beach...swim... rest :)....
Walked Jodi back to her homestay...
bought bread/cheese/olives/corn nuts...
sat by the pool at the hotel and that was our dinner...or our early dinner.
Left at 10:30 p.m. and Lynne and I walked to a restaurant on the beach and split a warm goat cheese salad and had a delicious espresso...
That was our homestay!
We did see lots of our delegates around town...and always there were nothing but HUGE smiles on their faces. At one point, seeing Marina, I asked how she was doing. Her answer:
FABULOUS!
That sums it up!
