We boarded a boat and had about a 2 hour ride along the hill towns. I
was surprised at how far apart they were...I just had it in my head that
they were all close together. No... Like I said, we were on a boat
about 2 hours...going from the 1st to the 5th ones. How do you get to a
home in parts of Cinque Terre...steps..lots of steps..some homes are
500-2000 steps. I'm not sure how that works...but that's what the
recording on the boat said. There is d efinitely NOT a road to drive to
the homes! It's gorgeous....
After seeing all the hilltowns from the water, we disembarked...had a little free time to roam around, and then went to board the train...the train to take us back to meet Marzio...and lunch...and to continue our journey! It was the first train ride for many of our delegates!
Uh, excuse me Ciara...do you see the sign? :)
On the train, Lynne was admiring Anastasia's hat...she tried it on... looking good, Sis!
We met Marzio...had lunch...and then hopped back on the train and headed toward
FRANCE!
Right as we passed the border into France, Amir began to play the French National Anthem...the delegation cheered...and we went from Caio! to Bonjour!
We're in our new hotel where we'll be for the next 3 days! with wifi!
Au Revoir!
