This is the castle where we would be repelling...as you can see, our other activities were a distance away.
Rock - Paper - Scissors...human style!
There was another P2P delegation there, too...and the day started by getting the delegates pumped up...giving them some motivational talks. From there, we moved outside for some cooperative activities...you had to rely on your team to help. For example, there was a large mat in a checkerboard shape. The Full On person knew the 'path'...and we had to move our entire group across the mat. It definitely depended on others helping you...
The old 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' game was also played...only using your whole body. That is the picture I posted on facebook...and then no others would load. You'll see it in the photos below.
Zip, Bang, Boom, Fiesta was the name of another game...
Then it was time to make our way to the castle. I kept watching the sky...and it seemed to be clearing some... We all got into our harnesses and helmets...and in groups, made our way up the steep stairs to the top where we would repel. I think every delegate came down the castle wall, some a bit more reluctantly than others...but we 'made it happen'! What a feeling of accomplishment!
As we were walking back, the sky opened up and the rain came down...but it was OK, because we had all been able to repel.
Because we were divided into 3 or 4 groups...can't remember...could have even been 5 groups??? I only have photos of my group repelling :(
Back inside, more inspirational talks...and then the boards came out...boards for us to break with our hands! Again, I think everyone did it.
Full-On...what a great day!
We ended the day with dinner at Il Duomo di Assisi... what a beautiful place Assisi is!
Walking through the streets of Assisi, we met a group of scouts. I can't remember where they were from...but they didn't speak English...and we didn't speak their language. As you can see, everyone enjoyed 'visiting' with each other anyway!
This gentleman lives in Assisi. He told me he likes to sit on this bench everyday and watch and visit with people.
It was the end of another great day in Italy!
