Monaco, bowling, perfume factory, and the restaurant everyone should have the privilege of visiting! - June 28th

How's that for a title?

Part of the Grand Prix track...

We started our day by picking up Agnes, our guide for the day.  (Who also was wearing a great pair of shoes!)  We drove to Monaco...an incredibly beautiful country.  Yes, it's a country, the second smallest country in the world.  The only one smaller is...Vatican City.

more of the Grand Prix track

Monaco has 1 policeman for every 200 people...and there are cameras everywhere. You don't feel spied on or anything like that...it's just nothing but amazing!  After a tour of part of the country...we had some free time.  We started and ended our free time at the Yellow Submarine...  It was put there in 1966, the same year the Beatles song of the same name came out.

If you're following our facebook page, you'll see a collage with a group panoramic photo of us overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in Monaco.

Marzio also took us on the coach on the Grand Prix track...which runs through the city.   He didn't drive quite as fast as the racers do.  No worries....we were safe!

The blue lights is a very modern organ in this old church.  To me, it seemed out of place.

Every day, at 11:55 a.m., there is the Changing of the Guard

We did see Princess Caroline...but only for a bleep of a minute as she hopped in her car.  We were standing in front of her pink house.  Not all of us saw her...unfortunately!

After 39 of the 39 delegates all claimed they WERE coming back to Monaco, we took off to go bowling!  Lunch was at the bowling alley before we bowled...it wasn't like any bowling alley food I've ever had before!  We were in groups of 5 to bowl...and it was definitely a good time!
Would you believe office buildings are inside this?

Eze was next on the agenda...and to the Fraganard Perfumery.  I was looking forward to that....as I was there 8 years ago and have since bought more of their perfume.  We'll be smelling good when we get off that plane in July!

Pratik told me his life was complete after seeing this car!  Some of our delegates, come to find out, paid to SIT in it!

From the perfumery, we walked up stairs, and some more stairs, and some more stairs...and then some more...to an unbelievable restaurant translated as the Eagles Nest.  It was AMAZING!  The food was really good...but the view was just breathtaking! This area was called Eze Village.  Only about 50 people live here...the rest just come for the day to tend to their businesses.

What a day!  We got back to the hotel about 8 p.m....so there was about an hour of pool time for those who wanted to swim.

Lights out at 11...to be ready for a new day!
